How does the 100% plan fee rebate work?+
100% of the drafting fees you pay for your construction drawings are credited in full on your final invoice when you purchase an Interhabs building kit. Build with Interhabs and your plans effectively cost you nothing.
Will my plans be accepted for a municipal building permit?+
Yes. Plan sets are prepared to meet the National Building Code as adopted in Nova Scotia, with structural notes for local wind and snow loads. We'll help with any revisions your municipality requests.
Do I have to use Interhabs to build?+
No. Drawings are builder-agnostic — take them to any contractor or build yourself. Under the drafting agreement, designs remain the property of Interhabs Ltd.
How do I get a panelization quote?+
Tick the panelization option on your intake form, or ask anytime after your plans are complete. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
What should I send to get started?+
Anything that shows your idea: sketches, photos, Pinterest boards, a rough floor plan, plus your build location and approximate size.
How is the price calculated?+
$1.50 per sq ft of finished living space plus $0.75 per sq ft for attached garage, deck and basement, with a $750 minimum.
